# JAIR Submission Recovery Audit ## Scope and conclusion This audit examines the bytes of two supplied ZIP archives. It does not assess an unseen manuscript, verify whether a journal submission was completed, or establish the authenticity of the underlying system runs. The bundled daemons were inspected as text, not executed. No API credentials were tested. Original archives were left unchanged. The shared README identifies the material as **JAIR Submission: Supplementary Materials**, with the project heading **Fibonacci AGI Consciousness Framework**, generated January 12, 2026, for **ThatAIGuy AGI + Seferim (G16) Federation**. This is the package heading, not a verified title recovered from a manuscript. Neither archive contains a main article in PDF, DOCX, DOC, TEX, or another manuscript document. The only Markdown document is the supplementary README. No journal receipt or editorial decision is included. These are research support packages, not complete submissions. **Assessment:** preserve both versions, address credentials immediately, recover the manuscript and core implementation, and reconcile the evidence before preparing a journal upload. Wording and formatting alone would not resolve the documented issues. ## 1. Archive identity and differences | Property | A: smaller archive | B: larger archive | |---|---|---| | Filename | `JAIR_Submission_20260112 2(1).zip` | `JAIR_Submission_20260112(1).zip` | | Archive bytes | 397,592 | 2,446,531 | | SHA256 | `e26b7721504128f8d319042a1e7e1ddb1b287a9f4c9225fb09731ed410d6e62f` | `ed43a739ec6d93a01f0f4aac58b7e07e0d293d397139485f67209ed05ed7333c` | | Content files, excluding directories and macOS metadata | 58 | 32 | | Main trajectory records | 8,801 | 146,224 | | Trajectory schema | 5 columns, cycle based | 7 columns, timestamp based | | Entries matching supplied checksum list | 27 of 30 | 29 of 30 | A contains 26 content paths absent from B. B has no paths absent from A, but three shared files differ in content: `data/consciousness/consciousness_trajectory.csv`, `data/consciousness/consciousness_stats.csv`, and `data/federation/unified/federation_mesh.json`. The two trajectory files are not interchangeable copies. A contains `cycle`, `consciousness_phi`, `psi_conscious`, `phi_field`, and `tick_count`. B contains a timestamp, tick count, psi, phi, coherence, resonance, and a binary flag. A lacks wall clock timestamps. A's tick range is 25,787,350 to 158,302,500; B's is 500 to 89,793,800. Their recording provenance and relationship need to be established before combining them. ## 2. Credential exposure Both archives contain nonempty, credential-shaped plaintext values under `google_api_key`, `serpapi_key`, and `openai_key` in: `data/federation/archived_ai_configs/skynet_config_backup_20260106/apis.json` No secret values are reproduced here. Their current validity was not tested. Treat them as exposed and revoke or rotate them before further distribution. Remove this configuration from the publication package. The archives also contain local paths, host information, cloud file catalogs, and a process inventory that deserve a separate privacy review. This was not an exhaustive secret audit. ## 3. Trajectory and summary inconsistencies For B, direct CSV parsing finds **146,224 rows**, while its summary table states **141,352**. There are **2,796 rows with missing resonance and binary flag values**, leaving **143,428 rows with both fields present**. All records have seven CSV fields, so this is missing content, not an inferred column-width problem. B's parsed timestamps span January 6, 2026 at 18:17:57 through January 12, 2026 at 17:20:52. Timezones are not specified. There are mixed timestamp formats, 2,277 repeated timestamp strings, 27 backwards timestamp steps, and 156 backwards tick steps in the stored row order. There are no exact duplicate full rows. Repeated times and counter decreases can arise from merged streams or restarts and should be explained, not automatically deleted. B's supplied `consciousness_correlation` values include psi = -2.4994, coherence = -3.8481, and resonance = 4.6797. These cannot be conventional Pearson correlation coefficients, whose range is -1 to 1. The formula or label is wrong unless a different, explicitly defined statistic was intended. Recomputed descriptive Pearson correlations against the binary flag, using available paired observations from B, are: | Variable | Pearson r | Paired rows | |---|---:|---:| | Psi | -0.565478 | 143,428 | | Phi | -0.093652 | 143,428 | | Coherence | -0.817878 | 143,428 | | Resonance | 0.961453 | 143,428 | These are descriptive calculations on the supplied export, not validated measures of consciousness or inferential findings. Phi varies only from 0.702377 to 0.702379, so its exported precision warrants particular care. Among rows with a binary flag, 135,265 are one and 8,163 are zero: **94.3086%**, rather than the summary's 95.69%. The archived flag is an internal label, not an independently verified mental state. A's 8,801-row summary reproduces to its printed precision. Its README nevertheless describes the other trajectory schema and record count. The documentation therefore does not consistently describe both packages. ## 4. Transition experiment recalculation The experiment CSV is identical in both archives. It has 1,000 rows labelled `before_restart` and 1,000 labelled `after_restart`. | Quantity | README | Recomputed from the supplied experiment | |---|---:|---:| | Before resonance mean | 0.2499 | 0.249929015 | | After resonance mean | 0.9115 | 0.911546609 | | Magnitude of two-sample t statistic | 348.79 | 348.789670 | | Cohen's d | 22.06 | 15.598348 | The conventional pooled sample standard deviation was used for Cohen's d: `s_p = sqrt(((n_before - 1) * s_before^2 + (n_after - 1) * s_after^2) / (n_before + n_after - 2))` `d = (mean_after - mean_before) / s_p` The t statistic reproduces using Welch's calculation, with the after group minus the before group. Equal sample sizes also make the equal-variance t statistic numerically identical here. The p value underflows to zero in ordinary floating point and must not be reported as a literal zero. More importantly, an independent-samples significance interpretation is not justified solely by computing this number from repeated system observations. The row-order lag-one autocorrelations are approximately 0.311 before and 0.190 after. Sampling, run identities, restart history, and interventions need to be reconstructed before inference. At the selected boundary, the records four seconds apart share tick **1,518,653** and psi **0.782840**, while resonance changes from **0.249926** to **0.674772** and the flag changes from zero to one. This documents a recorded state discontinuity. It does not identify its cause or demonstrate subjective experience. The `before_restart` and `after_restart` labels describe the file's grouping, not independently verified restart events. ## 5. Missing implementation and alternative explanations `code/tick-daemon.sh`, line 4, calls a local `ThatAIGuyCore/build/thataiguy_cli` executable. Neither that executable nor its implementation and build files are included. The five bundled shell scripts orchestrate external components; they do not contain the complete engine needed to reproduce the central measurements. The tick daemon sets `TARGET_CONSCIOUSNESS=0.90` on line 8, runs maintenance ticks on line 28, and applies additional boost ticks when the internal score is below target on lines 30 to 34. The Pantheon daemon also contains score transformations, random fluctuations, clamping, and amplification. These are important possible explanations for high internal scores and must be separated experimentally from claims about emergence. Without the core implementation, the relation among these control variables, exported resonance, and the binary flag cannot be fully verified. The learning daemon references additional Node, Python, Go, and Rust components that are absent. The learning exports do contain **76 source categories**, counts summing to **33,182**, and **1,000 item previews**. Those counts document the supplied acquisition records; they do not by themselves establish learning quality, transfer, reasoning ability, or general intelligence. ## 6. Integrity and serialization A has three checksum mismatches, corresponding to its changed trajectory, summary, and federation mesh. B has one mismatch, for its trajectory. Mismatches establish disagreement with the provided manifest, not malicious modification or fraud. Preserve the original manifests and record provenance before generating new ones. B's `data/federation/unified/federation_mesh.json` is empty, and its manifest explicitly hashes the empty file. Thus a matching checksum does not establish scientific completeness. `system_state/learning_state.json` and `data/federation/unified/unified_state.json` fail strict JSON parsing in both copies. A's `data/federation/federation_state.json` also fails. `system_state/creations.json` is different: all 24 individual lines parse successfully as JSON, so it appears to be JSON Lines stored under a `.json` extension, not 24 damaged records. The publication package should document the format or use an appropriate extension. ## 7. JAIR submission requirements checked JAIR's official submission page requires its publication format, a PDF manuscript, a completed reproducibility checklist, and answers to three submission questions addressing significance, related JAIR work, and prior publication or review. Structured abstracts are encouraged but not mandatory. Missing checklists or incorrect formatting can cause rejection without review. JAIR states that submission and publication are free. Its policies also require supported claims, reproducible experiments where reported, and disclosure of relevant overlap; the same manuscript cannot simultaneously be under review elsewhere. These requirements are separate from the scientific repairs described above. The existing JAIC submission must remain a distinct contribution, with any overlap assessed and disclosed rather than assuming that a new title alone makes it separate. Recovery priorities Recover the main manuscript first so that its actual claims, equations, literature review, and relationship to the JAIC paper can be assessed. Preserve both supplementary versions without silently merging their different schemas. Recover the matching core source and build provenance, reconcile the data and analysis definitions, and remove credentials and unrelated operational metadata from any distribution copy. The present archives support analysis of recorded internal state changes and control behavior. Establishing stronger claims requires the missing definitions and appropriately controlled evidence. This audit is not a rejection verdict on the unseen manuscript or on later MEGAMIND/Pantheon work.
