# Build-Repaired Working Draft
**Status: technical compilation repair only. Not a scientifically revised or submission-ready manuscript.**
## What this package contains
- `manuscript.tex`: the supplied LaTeX source with three narrowly scoped technical repairs.
- `references.bib`: byte-for-byte identical to the uploaded bibliography database.
- `manuscript.pdf`: the resulting 17-page working draft.
- `changes.patch`: the exact source differences.
- `build_checks.json`: executed build results and source hashes.
- `BUILD_NOTES.md`: this explanation.
## Changes actually made
1. Removed the redundant `\newcommand{\Phi}{\Phi}`, `\newcommand{\Psi}{\Psi}`, and `\newcommand{\Omega}{\Omega}` declarations. The existing standard symbols remain in use throughout the document.
2. Added `\usetikzlibrary{shapes.symbols}` so the source's requested cloud shape renders. This changes the figure's outline and can shift subsequent line placement.
3. Replaced the literal degree character after `137.508` with `^{\circ}`. The author had already included a degree symbol in the source; the original compiler log showed it was not rendered.
The title, author details, prose, scientific formulas apart from the equivalent degree-symbol markup, tabulated values, claims, pseudocode, and bibliography records were not rewritten. In particular, the known effect-size and measurement issues remain in this working copy. No journal-template conversion was performed.
## Checks performed
The supplied source was first compiled unchanged in an isolated working directory. It produced a PDF but returned a nonzero status and reproduced the duplicate-command and unknown-cloud errors.
The repaired source then passed all four build steps: LaTeX, BibTeX, LaTeX, LaTeX. Final checks found no LaTeX errors, undefined citations or references, missing characters, or requested cross-reference rerun. The rebuilt PDF has 17 pages. All pages were rendered for layout inspection, with separate inspection of the repaired degree symbol and diagram. The newly generated bibliography `.bbl` was byte-for-byte identical to the uploaded `.bbl`.
Two nonfatal warnings remain: the `h` float placement is adjusted to `ht`, and epstopdf notes that shell escape is disabled. No external image conversion was needed. Shell execution was disabled throughout the LaTeX builds.
Ordinary build commands, with a LaTeX distribution and BibTeX installed:
```sh
pdflatex -no-shell-escape -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error manuscript.tex
bibtex manuscript
pdflatex -no-shell-escape -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error manuscript.tex
pdflatex -no-shell-escape -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error manuscript.tex
```
The review environment used `/usr/bin/bibtex.original` as its available BibTeX executable. The exact executed commands are in `build_checks.json`.
## What the additional source establishes
The complete discussion page 13 is now available. It proposes that active-learning nonequilibrium dynamics might explain why the reported Phi mean is 0.7024 rather than approximately 0.618. This is an explanation proposed by the manuscript, not a separately supplied test of that explanation.
The energy equation explicitly contains `cos(varphi * t * F_n)`. Some wording in the earlier audit omitted `t`. That omission must not be used when evaluating the actual equation. For a fixed positive F_n, the long-time mean of this cosine is zero. Extending that averaging argument to changing indices and proving convergence of the coupled system require additional assumptions and analysis.
The bibliography database contains 53 entries, of which 18 are cited and appear in the compiled paper. Thus 35 database entries are not currently cited. This is a structural count, not verification of the publications or their bibliographic metadata. The original README's approximately 30 pages and 55 citations do not describe the supplied 17-page compiled paper accurately.
This batch supplies manuscript source and document-build records. It does not supply the executable experiment engine, additional raw trials, or the scripts needed to reproduce all reported statistical analyses.
## Originals
All uploaded files remain untouched. The source SHA256 values and the unchanged-bibliography check are recorded in `build_checks.json`. This package does not include the original supplementary archives or their configuration files.
