- Choose "Deploy with GitHub"
- Authorize Netlify to access your GitHub (first time only)
2. **Select Repository**
- Find and click `thataiguy-website` repository
- Netlify will auto-detect settings from `netlify.toml`
- You should see:
- Build command: `echo 'No build required - static site'`
- Publish directory: `.`
- Click "Deploy site"
3. **Wait for Deployment** (30-60 seconds)
- Netlify will show deployment progress
- When complete, you'll see "Published" with a URL like:

1. **In Netlify Dashboard**
- Click on your site
- Go to "Domain settings"
- Click "Add custom domain"
- Enter: `thataiguy.org`
- Click "Verify"

- Check status at: https://dnschecker.org/
- Netlify will auto-provision SSL certificate (HTTPS)
4. **Verify SSL**
- In Netlify: Domain settings → HTTPS
- Should show: "Certificate provisioned"
- Your site is now secure at: `https://thataiguy.org`
---
## 🔧 Post-Deployment Configuration
### Enable Form Notifications (Optional)
If you want to receive contact form submissions:
1. **Netlify Forms (Free)**
- Add to your HTML form tag in `index.html`:
```html
<form name="contact" method="POST" data-netlify="true">
```
- Netlify will automatically handle form submissions
- Access submissions: Netlify dashboard → Forms
2. **Email Notifications**
- Netlify dashboard → Forms → Form notifications
- Add notification to your email: [author/contact email redacted]`
### Set Up Payment Integration
**For Stripe:**
1. Create Stripe account: https://stripe.com/
2. Get API keys from Stripe dashboard
3. Update `script.js` with Stripe integration (see commented code)
4. Add Stripe.js to `index.html`:
```html
<script src="https://js.stripe.com/v3/"></script>
```
**For CashApp/Venmo:**
1. Update contact section in `index.html` with your payment handles
2. Add direct payment links:
```html
<a href="https://cash.app/$YourHandle">Pay with CashApp</a>
<a href="https://venmo.com/YourHandle">Pay with Venmo</a>
```
---
## 🎨 Customization Guide
### Update Pricing
Edit `index.html`, section `#pricing`:
- Line ~280: Single System License price

- Line ~340: Exclusive Partnership price
### Update Contact Information
Edit `index.html`, section `#contact`:
- Line ~460: Name and title

- Line ~470: Phone number
### Change Colors
Edit `styles.css`, `:root` section (line ~8):
```css
--primary: #0066cc; /* Main brand color */
--secondary: #00cc66; /* Accent color */
--dark: #1a1a2e; /* Dark backgrounds */
```
### Add Google Analytics
Add before `</head>` in `index.html`:
```html
<!-- Google Analytics -->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=GA_MEASUREMENT_ID"></script>
<script>
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag('js', new Date());
gtag('config', 'GA_MEASUREMENT_ID');
</script>
```
---
## 🚀 Making Updates
Whenever you make changes:
```bash
# In your local thataiguy-website folder
git add .
git commit -m "Describe your changes"
git push
```
Netlify will automatically:
1. Detect the push to GitHub
2. Rebuild your site (instant for static sites)
3. Deploy the update
4. Update the live site
**No manual deployment needed!**
---
## 📊 Monitor Your Site
### Netlify Dashboard
- View deployment history
- Monitor bandwidth usage
- Check form submissions
- Review analytics
### Set Up Uptime Monitoring (Free)
- Use https://uptimerobot.com/
- Monitor `https://thataiguy.org`
- Get alerts if site goes down
---
## 🔒 Security Checklist
✅ HTTPS enabled (auto by Netlify)
✅ Security headers configured (in netlify.toml)
✅ Form spam protection (Netlify built-in)
✅ Contact email protected from scrapers
✅ No sensitive data in public repository
**Remember:**
- Never commit API keys or passwords
- Keep full algorithm documentation offline

---
## 🆘 Troubleshooting
### Site Not Loading
1. Check deployment status in Netlify dashboard
2. Verify DNS settings at your registrar
3. Clear browser cache
4. Try incognito/private browsing
### Forms Not Working
1. Ensure `data-netlify="true"` is in form tag
2. Check Netlify Forms dashboard for submissions
3. Verify notification email is correct
### Custom Domain Not Working
1. Verify DNS records at registrar
2. Wait for DNS propagation (up to 48 hours)
3. Check Netlify domain settings for errors
4. Use https://dnschecker.org/ to verify DNS
### Deployment Failed
1. Check Netlify deploy log for errors
2. Verify all files are in repository
3. Ensure netlify.toml is at root level
4. Contact Netlify support if persistent
---
## 💡 Pro Tips
1. **Preview Before Deploy**
- Netlify creates preview URLs for each commit
- Test changes before merging to main branch
2. **Branch Deploys**
- Create a `dev` branch for testing
- Only merge to `main` when ready for production
3. **Performance**
- Your site is already optimized (static HTML/CSS/JS)
- Netlify includes CDN and compression automatically
4. **Backups**
- GitHub is your backup
- Netlify keeps deployment history
- You can rollback to any previous deployment
5. **Custom 404 Page**
- Create `404.html` for custom error page
- Netlify will use it automatically
