A solo engineer, self hosting since 2017
Joseph W. Anady founded That AI Guy to give organizations an option the cloud era took away from them: a reasoning system they own outright, built on hardware inside their own walls, instead of a seat rented from someone else's cluster. That posture is not new for him. He has been self hosting production AI systems since 2017, years before owning your intelligence became a selling point anywhere else.
That AI Guy operates as a single accountable engineer. The same person who scopes an engagement is the person who builds the federation, deploys it, and answers the question a year later when something needs to change. No account managers between the client and the work. No reselling someone else's cloud subscription with a markup attached.
