Use cases / E commerce

AI for e commerce brands that ship orders, not abandoned carts.

Square and Shopify integrations, custom storefronts, inventory automation, customer support RAG, AI product search. Built for single brand and dual brand storefronts.

01The problem

Conversion is the metric. Site search is where it dies.

Most e commerce pain is product discovery, abandoned cart recovery, and a support inbox that swallows the merchant day. Customers come in via Google. They abandon when product search fails to surface what they want. AI fixes the search.

Brands we have spoken to ship the same four bottlenecks. Site search that returns nothing because of vocabulary mismatch. Cart abandonment with no recovery. Support inbox flooded with order status questions. And product photography that never matches catalog.

  • Site search vocabulary mismatch. Customer searches "blue ceramic vase" and gets nothing because the product is tagged "indigo stoneware vessel". Semantic search fixes this.
  • Cart abandonment without recovery. Customer adds to cart, leaves, never sees a recovery email. Recovery cycle adds revenue with one workflow.
  • Support inbox flooding. "Where is my order?" "Can I return this?" "Do you ship to Canada?" Tier one tickets answered manually, every day.
  • Product photography backlog. Photo shoot ships fifty products. Catalog updates take a month. Inventory and storefront drift apart.
02What AI does

Five capabilities that fit on top of Shopify, Square, BigCommerce, or a custom storefront.

Semantic site search

Replace keyword search with vector plus LLM grounded retrieval. Customers find what they want, not what they typed. Knowledge base pattern.

  • vector embeddings
  • typo tolerant
  • LLM rerank

Cart abandonment recovery

Triggered emails plus SMS plus push, with personalized product recommendations and an honest reason to come back. Workflow pattern.

Tier one support chatbot

Order status, returns, shipping, payment questions. Cited from your published policy. Escalates real issues. Chatbot pattern.

Custom storefront

Hand coded storefront on top of your commerce platform when the theme cannot deliver the brand experience. Websites pillar.

Catalog automation

Photo shoot uploads, AI extracts product attributes, generates copy drafts, updates catalog. Owner reviews and publishes.

03Real work

Eureka Bath Works.

Eureka Bath Works is a small business retailer running a dual brand storefront experience: a Victorian voice and a Norse voice across the same product catalog. We rebuilt the site as a hand coded Next.js property with 186 pages, full schema, brand specific copy on shared product templates, and the answer engine optimization stack. The Facebook integration ships OG, fb:pages, and the Page Plugin across 716 pages. Pixel and domain verification are pending Meta credentials.

What ships on that property: dual brand storefront with shared inventory, full Product plus Offer schema, image sitemap, llms.txt, brand.json, and the SEO stack that lifts the property into Google AI Overviews for the niche searches the brand serves.

05E commerce FAQ

Buyer questions, E commerce specific.

Will the storefront replace Shopify or Square?

The commerce platform stays. We replace or augment the storefront, theme, or specific surfaces (search, recommendations, support). The cart, checkout, and inventory remain in the commerce platform.

Will the AI write product copy that hurts SEO?

The AI drafts copy. The owner reviews and approves. Drafts are constrained to truthful claims and brand voice. We do not publish AI copy without human review.

What about FTC endorsement and Made in USA rules?

Endorsements, testimonials, and country of origin claims are reviewed against FTC rules before publication. We do not generate fake reviews.

Can the AI take a Pinterest or TikTok feed and turn it into product cards?

Yes via API integrations and a moderation queue. Owner reviews each card before it goes live.

What about ADA compliance for the storefront?

Sites ship with WCAG 2.1 AA targeted compliance, alt text on product images, semantic markup, and an accessibility statement page.
