Service engagement terms
When you engage That AI Guy for a build, the terms of that engagement are governed by the signed Statement of Work for the project, not by these website terms. Standard practices: fixed-price quotes, milestone-based payment (typically 50/50 or 33/33/33), no scope creep without a signed change order, and a defined support window after launch.
Code ownership: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the Statement of Work, all code, designs, and configurations created for a client engagement are owned by the client upon final payment.
Open source: Builds may include open source components under their respective licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL where applicable). We document license obligations in every project.
Confidentiality: We treat client information confidentially by default. We will sign a mutual NDA on request before any sensitive details are exchanged.
Liability: Our liability for any single engagement is capped at the total fees paid for that engagement. We carry professional liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
Disputes: Any dispute arising from a service engagement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and venue is in Barry County, Missouri.
